Activities on Sunday
Wat Phra Dhammakaya is the oasis for those who thirst for the cultivation of mind through meditation practice and other kinds of meritorious deed such as alms offering and precepts observation and so on. Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Dhammakaya Foundation welcome very righteous people from around the world to visit its temple and join its meritorious activities without the discrimination in age, gender, social status, race and even religion. The Temple has maintained its surrounding to be shady and luxuriant, and up-kept all the places to be clean; things are arranged in the orderly fashion all the time to await its daily visitors and regular temple-goers. The Temple believes that the tidy environment would be conducive to meditation and attract positive impression, especially for the newcomers to take back home with them. The Temple has arranged various meritorious activities to suit people of different temperament throughout the week, for instance: The Ceremony for the Offering of Sustenance to the Lord Buddha held on the first Sunday of each month throughout the year has been taken seriously for the length of the previous half-century down to the present day. The Ceremony takes place in the huge meditation building called Sapha Dhammakaya Hall and is attended by people of all walks of life. Despite the great number of people, the participants of the ceremony do not have the feeling of uneasiness or being comfortless for the whole congregation sitting in neatly lines and doing their own mediation to cultivate inner peace in mind. The sustenance arrangement for the Ceremony is superlatively made with reverence for the Triple Gem by the temple’s kitchen. You are invited to share the cost of the ingredients through making of the donation.
